Strawberry Pretzel Dessert Recipe

Ingredients:
2 cups pretzels, crushed
3/4 cup margarine or butter, melted
3 tablespoons sugar
1- 16 oz. container cool whip
1 - 8 oz. package cream cheese
1 cup sugar
2 - 10 oz. packages of frozen strawberries (or fresh)
2 cups boiling water
1 - 6 oz. package strawberry jello

Mix pretzels with melted margarine or butter, plus the 3 tablespoons of sugar. Add to a 9 x 13 pan and bake in 400 degree oven for 8 minutes, and then cool.
Beat together the cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar. Add cool whip and spread on top of pretzel layer. Refrigerate until set.
Mix together the strawberries (chopped, if desired), boiling water and jello, and pour over cream cheese layer. Refrigerate a few hours until set.
